Head of Development
Hamilton Aquatics is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Head of Development to oversee and manage the Development Pathway in Dubai. This role focuses on swimmer recruitment and progression, supporting talent identification, and mentoring pathway coaches to maintain high coaching standards.

Key Responsibilities
1. Coaching & Pathway Management
- Plan and deliver engaging sessions to two Performance Squads of Junior/Age Group swimmers, ensuring progressive athlete development.
- Monitor and record swimmer progress to keep development on track.
- Identify and track talent within Hamilton Aquatics and external programs, ensuring smooth progression through the Development Pathway.
- Build strong relationships with swimmers, parents, and key stakeholders.
2. Talent Identification & Progression
- Manage the Talent ID process and ensure swimmers progress effectively through the pathway.
- Work with LTS and Area Managers to support swimmer transitions.
- Track and monitor swimmer progression, providing clear development pathways.
3. Coaching Leadership & Development
- Line manage and mentor Development Pathway Coaches, ensuring high coaching standards.
- Support coach development through guidance, feedback, and mentoring.
- Ensure Hamilton Aquatics’ values (Pride, Respect, Excellence, Positivity, Unity) are upheld in all coaching practices.
4. Communication & Collaboration
- Proactively communicate with swimmers, parents, and staff on development goals.
- Work with senior coaching staff to ensure training consistency and swimmer progression.

Desired Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications:
✔ UKCC Level 2 Coaching in Aquatics (or equivalent).
✔ Lifeguard Qualification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Experience:
✔ Experience in coaching young swimmers, particularly at the Learn to Train and Train to Train stages.
✔ Proven track record in developing age-group swimmers and ensuring smooth squad transitions.
Skills & Knowledge:
✔ Excellent communication and leadership skills.
✔ Strong understanding of swim stroke mechanics and training methodologies.
✔ Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends for training and competitions.
✔ Ability to inspire and motivate young athletes.
✔ Proficiency in IT and video analysis tools.
